Connecting The Dots

One of the most important speeches I’ve ever heard in my life was Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford commencement address. Listening to what he had to say while sitting in my cubicle was the moment I first asked myself seriously, “Am I in the right place?”

Fast forward to today, everything he says in this video is still valuable. I won’t write too much about it, as he has a lot to say already. But I’ll end today’s blog with a few significant quotes from the speech. I do suggest that you watch the video in its entirety.

You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backward.

As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.

If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.
